Presidential Installation

Every year, the Tarrant County Medical Society and its members elect a new president. TCMS hosts the Gold-Headed Cane and Installation Reception each December to celebrate that year's Gold-Headed Cane recipient and the incoming TCMS president. All members of the Medical Society are welcome to attend. It is a great opportunity for the whole society to gather together to celebrate leadership and the successes of the medical community.

Our 2026 president is Cheryl Hurd, MD. Dr. Hurd is a psychiatrist who works to highlight the importance of mental health - a necessity for maintaining overall health. She is focused on medical education, organized medicine participation, and advocacy for patients and the practice of medicine.
