“Our group has enjoyed our involvement in Project Access
Tarrant County immensely. Many of my partners have mentioned that the program
has given back to them more than they have given. So many patients are
encountered at the hospital with serious problems but no resources for managing
them after discharge. Collaborating with PATC has given us a new resource for
treating these problems and preventing ongoing, repeat ER visits without a
long-term solution. We are lucky to have so many other partners in the
community such as THR, local anesthesiologists, radiology groups and
laboratories as often treatment without that coordination would be impossible. We
are lucky to have such giving people in our community. And there is no better
feeling than to see these very happy and appreciative patients return to be
able to resume their life and work. My group Urology Partners of North Texas is
so appreciative to PATC and all the other physicians and groups that
contribute.”

In 2011, Tarrant County Medical Society created Project
Access to not only meet the needs of local patients but also to aid our
physicians in being able to provide charity care. PATC takes care of it all:
from original referral to vetting patient eligibility; from hospital
application to scheduling ancillary care. We coordinate so you can do what you
do best: Practice Medicine.
When you volunteer for PATC, you are in control of how many
patients you see per year. If you reach that number, we will not ask you to see
additional patients until the following calendar year. You are always in
control of the patients you see, and they will be scheduled directly with your
office so your practice flow is not interrupted.
